ULTIMATE BAND CAMP EXPERIENCE CANCELED FOR 2006
The Ultimate Band Camp Experience will have to wait another year.
Precision Arts is dedicated to providing the best possible experience
for its students and staff. Unfortunately, due to circumstances beyond
its control, it does not believe it will be able to offer that
experience this summer.
The NFL?s Tennessee Titans will be holding their summer training camp
on the Austin Peay State University campus the same week the Ultimate
Band Camp Experience was scheduled to be there. Though the university
has tried to be accommodating, Precision Arts believes the experience
would not be at the highest quality level as some areas of campus would
be unavailable and that would hamper operations of the band camp.
Factoring into this decision is that Drum Corps International, also due
to circumstances beyond its control, has had to move its Masters of the
Summer Music Games show previously scheduled for Middle Tennessee State
University. The new location is much farther away from APSU and will
not be available to Precision Arts.
Precision Arts is disappointed in having to reschedule this event as it
knows many students and band directors have made arrangements to attend
and were extremely excited. Precision Arts would like to apologize for
any inconvenience incurred by participants and will be contacting each
of them via e-mail and/or phone to inform them. A full refund for
tuition costs will be made to those who have registered, and a discount
will be offered toward next year?s event.
The Ultimate Band Camp Experience on July 25-28, 2006 will be re-scheduled for next summer.
Precision Arts? popular Snare Drum Camp on June 2-4 and Drum Major Camp
on June 6-9 are not affected by this decision. Both camps are held on
the campus of Rockford College in Illinois. A few spots still remain
for both camps. Go to www.precisionarts.org or call 815-226-2835 for
more information.
